Once a player maxes out Topic

When a player maxes out in a specific attribute what do you guys set the maxed out attribute at to maintain? Ive always set mine at 4; but recently have considered moving it even lower or even to zero.  Thoughts?

0 for everything except FT, because I cannot really monitor FT... But I suppose that would be fine at 0, too.

i put everything to 0... often a point or two before it maxes out, as well.

Keep 8 in FTs, they absolutely do drop with 0.  You might argue they don't drop enough to be worried about, but I saw multiple players drop a shown letter grade when I tried 0.  Sure they were probably right on the cutoff already, but I don't want them dropping since they improve so slowly (and I can't tell how much they're dropping!).

I use 0 for everything else.  You can even use 0 for non-FT ratings when they're just close to maxing out.  Depending on the player, I might drop to 0 when something turns red and focus on other areas.  You will sometimes lose a point or two over the season if you push the envelope like that, but sometimes that's ok.

Here's a question, do players drop more on 0 setting when their potential is still high or if based on WE levels? I ask because I had a few players drop about 5 points in the past season which isn't much, but say over the course of 2 years, more than 5 points can be enough to make the player less desireable.

I believe it's based on both, though I'm not sure which is more important.  Players with high potential and low WE will drop the most with 0 minutes.  Players with low potential and high WE will drop the least.

i only advise going to 0 when a category is low, and for the key areas, when its within 2 points of maxed, or so (its all so situational). you will lose points quickly if a player has high potential left.
