Somewhere in eight scouting reports and a coaching call(done recruiting so I'll blab all I want) would you not think that the recruit's offense and not just his defense would be revealed?

That's, well, I was going to say ridiculous but that's not even close to being a strong enough word.  You're sure that in all those scouting reports the offense wasn't noted?  Man, you REALLY need a new assistant!

Nope. All eight scouting reports told me his defense was the zone/press. Not a word of the offense though. Not that it would have made a difference in recruiting this time but in many cases - especially juco - it is interesting information to have.

maybe his coach has him cherry picking on defense?  maybe the team is so bad offensively that the assistant couldn't figure out what offense they ran?

must be offense/defense substitutions.. maybe he doesn't play on offense

ought to be that every eval and any coach call gets you the offense and the defense - I mean you call a coach and ask about the player and then you try hard to remmeber to ask "hey coach, what do y'all run?" ...and every coach who I have ever had a serious conversation with loves to talk about what they run - heck, I can talk for 20 minutes about what we run on the high school rec league team that I coach.....
