OT- Notre Dame to the ACC Topic

ESPN's Brett McMurphy just reported that sources told him that Notre Dame will join the ACC in all sports except football.  They will, however, play 5 ACC teams in football.

The Big East requires a 27-month notice to leave the conference but West Virginia, Pitt and Syracuse were able to leave sooner by paying a higher exit fee.

Bigtime college sports are losing all credibility with me.  Just run wherever the money is.  Screw tradition.  Haven't watched one snap of college football this year and don't plan to.

I still love college football, but I do understand where you're coming from.  I'm a Big 10 fan, so thankfully I haven't had to put up with much moving around.  I still consider Nebraska a Big 8 team, though.

And what's with the jersey's?  An informed viewer should never have to stop to consider which team is which when watching a game.

+1
I still love college football as well, but money is ruining it, in my opinion.  I certainly understand the viewpoint of moving to a better/different conference, but my WVU Mountaineers ARE NOT a Big 12 team.  It'll help with recruiting and exposure...but the Big 12? Really?
As far as the uniforms go-I'm glad someone else feels the same way. Nike and Under Armour both a making a mockery of jersey design. Oregon & Maryland are horrible-just freakin' horrible-looking teams...and Nike is trying to make Oklahoma State the "Oregon of the Big 12". WVU is wearing a grey uni-and-helmet against Baylor this season. Nike and UA know that all these alt-jerseys with crazy designs will sell, so that's why they do it.  I used to work for the Swoosh back in the day before they started with all this crazy stuff...they kept the uni's clean and classic-looking.
Old-man rant over.

The nice part is with them moving to a playoff system, it will bring back the need for teams to play quality opponents again because it will be a board that decides the playoff teams which will take SOS into consideration.

I enjoy about half of the Oregon unis... But Maryland is absolutely terrible. I hate what ND is doing with the clover (Seriously? Ugly as my aunt's mole) and how Michigan looks when wearing their alternates.

Respect goes out to Bama, even Penn State (even though they added the names), OU, etc. that are keeping their traditional uniforms- for now.

Yes, Maryland's uniforms are the worst. They have 4 types of jerseys...white, yellow, black and red...to mix & match with the same color of pants.  But those half-and-half helmets are atrocious.
