Idea for a good tool to have Topic

so we have the Player Roles tool that most don't find to be that useful. I think most of us like to look at something like that in helping us recruiting, but becuase it doesn't account for player's potentials it isn't really useful so how about this.

We can create a tool like the Player Roles only specifically designed for recruiting, and it would create a formula which would also take into factor the players potential. So you have the current Player Roles which you can put a percentage of weight on certain skillset based on the position. You can do the same thing only to add something that you could also factor extra weight on the PPR based on the skill potential for that player, so High potential would be like 30, Medium would be 20, Low would be 10, and these numbers can be edited by users based on how much they value high potential so they can make it 50 even or just care almost nothing on them and put 5 on High, 3 on Medium, 1 on Low.

I know those numbers make you say why the number 30 and not 300 so i'm throwing hypothetical numbers here. But I think at least for anyone who also has sense with algorithm can agree that there is a way that you can factor in the potentials to make a PPR that would be useful in recruiting.

Naturally, you could only use this updated player roles for scouted states. But I'd also love to see something like this. I'd set it up a little differently though. Keep the percentage division the same, but let the user input a bonus to the skill for high/average/low. For instance, if someday sets up high to be +20, average +10, and low +0, a guard with 45 (avg) ath, 60 (high) speed, 35 (high) per, 45 (avg) BH, and 35 (high) passing would be calculated by the algorithm as a guard with 55 ath, 80 speed, 55 per, 55 BH, and 55 passing.

Yeah, this came up a lot when seble first mentioned player roles.

Yes that is perfectly where I was heading with it the way you think and it is true that this would only work in the scouted states where you can see the potentials but that shouldn't prevent such tool from existing. tarvolon you perfectly seeing things the way i'm seeing it. Thumbs Up
