Well I haven't done a great job in my first 5 seasons at my D1 program.  My prestige has only moved from D- to D+ and the boo birds are out in full force.  How long do you have until you get the axe after the boosters start to complain?  What kind of season are they looking for (wins, NT)?  Anyone have any experience with this? 

I'm planning on changing my defense from press to M2M this season.  The fouls were killing me in big games and I had to play a lot of lower classmen due to fatigue issues.  I'm worried about having an average season and getting fired because of this.

It's VERY difficult to get fired.  You've had 2 consecutive winning seasons. Coaches with far worse resumes still have their jobs

I wouldn't worry until you get to In Jeopardy and even then you will likely have a season or two before you get a final notice warning. A PIT season will buy you about 5 more seasons at least.
