When you take a walk-on, do you forfeit carryover cash?

Yes.  Try and pick up a 1 year transfer player from a lower division for cheap, that way he'll be gone after the season and you will still get your carryover.

The exception to this is an illegible that you signed doesn't show and goes JUCO.  Then you get a walk-on but still get carryover.

As long as you have a player signed for each open scholarship at the end of recruiting, you'll get carryover (25% of all unspent recruiting cash remaining) for the next season's recruiting cycle.
