Force a Guy to Quit? And Fast? Topic

Hsve a soph PG I need to quit. Missed start of signing and deadline to cut. Have half my recruiting $. Need him to quit to sign better player. Tried 2 RS and he wrote hate mail but WE went back to norm. What if I RS him 10 times today? Any chance he'll quit now (like today)? Signing ends tomorrow night. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can't force a guy to quit until next season (and even then it's a dicey proposition)

Kid.buried on bench. Won't leap at chance to sign elsewhre?

Your best chance to force a guy to quit is during the pre-signing period when you can rescind.  That's about it unless you are willing to wait a season and just leave him on the bench in mop-up.  But if you do that, it's not much different than rescinding.

No way to get him gone until either he transfers at the end up the season, due to playing time issue, or you cut him the next offseason.

A you-snooze-you-lose scenario. You have to get him gone before signings start.

Was snoozing ... in a hospital. I know the rule but was in critical condition. Throw me a bone I say.

Thanks guys (except the last sophomric retort) . Seriously, no recourse for a heart attack? Love the game, but kind of ******. Understand you don't want to open the floodgates but a heart attack,? Tubes and wires? Sedated to point of no phone use? Think I'll retire.

How is WIS supposed to know you had a heart attack?

You can send a ticket and ask if you can get some compensation because a medical emergency ruined your team, but I doubt they'll do anything. They probably don't want floods of people asking for refunds because they had the flu during recruiting

send in a ticket, flag it ****PLEASE FORWARD TO SEBLE ASAP TIME SENSITIVE****

and explain. He has the power to cut the player. Will he? I don't know.

is this a guy you inherited or a guy you signed?  if you signed him, the rep hit from cutting would be larger and seble may have less sympathy than if you took over a roster and he was a leftover

Thanks. Did that 3 biz days (i.e. too late). Heart attack seems different than flu, but wading through proof if many cried same tune could be unworkable. Thanks for tips all. GL. Peace out.

I'm not trolling anything...I'm tired of guys wanting special treatment because of life happening.  Hell the same thing could happen to me, I'm somewhat/rather overweight and not in the best physical condition, and I could be laid up in the hospital for 5 days for whatever reason, it doesn't mean that WIS should make an exception for me, again i wouldn't even dare to ask them to.  Whether you're in great or bad shape, in the beginning, prime, or twilight of your life, etc, life will go on despite what happens to you, and what happens to you is really no one's responsibility but your own.

If you're going to quit WIS because you weren't able to cut a guy because you were incapacitated, I'd say that's a pretty dumb reason to quit a game that you love.  His "take his ball and go home" tactics aren't endearing at all...he's being petulant and I'm taking exception with it.

His tone was completely passive and if he wants to quit so be it. Regardless of that, do you not see how you ruthlessly and shamelessly attacked a guy for having a heart attack and then asking if maybe WIS would help him out?

Seriously? And the more you try to justify yourself the deeper a hole you'll dig. So much for trying to make the forums a happier place.......
