Hey guys...just wanted to gauge some opinions here about something that pops in and out of my mind now and then.  I know we play a great text game(s), but I'm just curious what you guys think about the push-buttons.  I personally feel like nothing was worthwhile after they started using only the 2 digit designations (06, 07, etc, as opposed to 2005, 2004, 2003, etc), so I say 2005.  If curious, Ray Lewis was on the cover of Madden for that edition, Larry Fitzgerald was the cover man for NCAA Football 2005 (though I like 2004 better, Carson Palmer btw).

Vote away and weigh in with some comments if you like.  I suppose an alternate version of the question would be, what was the last Madden/NCAA Football that you bought the day it came out?  Though I guess that is a slight variation lol.

Ahhh FIFA 13 eh?  I'm a huge fan of FIFA 06, the controls got considerably harder after that so even FIFA 08 was such a different game that I never really took a liking to it.  The shooting is much tougher (everything's into the stands if you don't aim it right) and there isn't a camera angle as good as the dynamic cam in 06 IMO.  Because of your endorsement though, I might have to try it out...people seem to rave about the other soccer franchise as well, Pro Revolution Soccer or whatever it is.

My favorite game ever is NCAA football 06. I was a qb and won the heisman freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons and then I got ****** and didn't play the game for a week after my wide receiver got the heisman over me senior year. But it is a great game. However if you import your player into madden 06 it is glitchy, The first time i tried it changed my skin color to black. But I just exited out did it agin and it worked.

I'm all NCAA Football! Buy it every year just to recruit and build up a one star school, haha. All i do is simulate the games...

What I particularly like about FIFA 13 is that they finally stopped making the ball stick at guys' feet automatically all the time.  So now on long passes you actually need to have a little space to control the ball and make a move, not half a step.  They also seem to have increased the speed penalty for the player with the ball; overall it just toned down the fastbreak game a little bit, makes the game a lot more balanced.

Interesting, I should probably give it a whirl.  It's unfortunate that video/game rental stores are basically a thing of the past...it's harder to "try before you buy" nowadays.  A Blockbuster Video by where I live just closed a few months back, perhaps what was funnier was that it came as a "total shock" to one of their employees that I overheard discussing it with a customer lol.

the last madden I liked was 2005. Madden has not been good since next gen consoles came out. NCAA is still a pretty good game (except their online servers suck very badly), but my favorite one was probably 2009. The game play was good and they first introduced online dynasty mode. My biggest complaint is it seems at times that EA keeps NCAA from surpassing their cash cow madden which is sad because madden has been crap and NCAA has had potential the last few years.

If you like basketball, the NBA 2k series has been pretty solid, but does not change much each year.

I'm playing the early Realse of NCAA football 14 And it's amazing one of the best I'm gonna buy it when it comes out.

NCAA Football 14 is coming out the 9th! It is so much fun. Online dynasties are great, especially if you start at a one star school as a coordinator!

How much different is NCAA 14 then 13? I want to buy it but the last 3 years it seems like I'm buying the exact same game?

Madden 06 on the Xbox for me, NOT 360

P.S. Most fun I've ever had with Madden is 08!
