Depth Chart Help/Suggestions Topic

I am having a lot of frustration with my program this season and have been moving my depth chart around a lot more then I would like.  A lot of my players have been very inconsistent which has made it hard for me to figure out all of my core group.  I'm sure the inconsistency is due to the high amount of moves I have made in my depth chart.  This is my 2nd year with the team, which started out as a rebuilding last year.  I recruited some upperclassmen last year and this year because I wanted to get some wins right away.  We have definitely seen much improvement but my conference is very tough so I am looking for some pointers form anyone.  This season I have had 6 close against high RPI teams so I know my team has the potential to be successful.

Suggestions on offensive tempo and individual 3pt frequency would be very helpful too.

Ramon, Cassidy, and Nelson, I believe need to start. Overall it looks like you are doing it right, you are getting beat by better teams and some really good coaches in your conference. Maher and Hartness would probably be my other 2 starters but I'm not a pressing coach and I noticed Hartness has lower IQ but I think you need some REB and DEF help. I would probably start Nelson as PG, Maher SG depending on opposition SG - may need more D here, Cassidy at SF, Ramon at PF, and Hartness at C.

Players keep fouling out, so I would slow it down to protect against that. I'm not a big 3 pt shooting coach, I see 2 guys I would play +2, the others would probably be 0, -1,-2. I adjust these based on competition and LP/PER attributes, as well as ATH/SPD attributes.

Sorry to say this, but that team is not built for press.  Need Ath, Def, and somewhat speed for FCP.  I would run slowdown ALL the time, Nelson at +1 and Maher at 0 for 3pt.  Press is tricky if you run it in uptempo.  You should still make the big dance as long as you beat the SIMS because you conference is really good and will help with RPI and SOS.

Very helpful guys. I agree that my team isn't athletic enough to be a dominant pressing team.
