Do I lose a compensation pick? Topic

I have the 13th pick in this year's draft from my record last season. I also have the 17th pick as compensation for not signing my #1 pick last season. I know the 13th spot is protected if I sign a type A FA. How about the 17th pick? Could I lose that by signing a type A? Thanks.
