This league (the Separate Draft League or SDL) is really  two progressive leagues in one. The NL is a 12 team league which started in 1901 and the AL is a 12 team league which started in 1941. No trading of players or draft picks is allowed between the 2 leagues, so the NL will always only have players progressing from 1901 and the AL will only have players progressing from 1941.

The team available is the Detroit Tigers (in the AL), who had a record of 85-77, 6 games behind the division winner in a very competitive division. The team's hitting is very good, with some help needed for the pitching staff.

The 1946 draft is currently underway, and rather than hold up the draft I have made the first round pick (P Fred Hutchinson). If a new owner is found quickly, he can make the 2 remaining draft picks. The team's roster for the 1946 season is posted below.

In the IF Schoendienst, Kell and Pesky all have long careers ahead and Appling has 4 good years left. Haas has a good year in 1946 with a couple of fair years in 1947 and 1948. The OF is solid but will need replacements over the next few seasons. The pitching is mediocre and will need to be upgraded.
