In the just concluded recruiting period in Iba, I was meaning to try to sign an ineligible PF but stupidly forgot to withdraw a scholarship offer to an ineligible SF I had looked at.... so I wound up giving the SF the last roster spot.  Luckily, he went JUCO since I didn't want him anyway.

But my question is this:  Do unsigned ineligibles show in the recruits for the following season?  Or do they just vanish into an abyss somewhere?

I'm also pretty sure you get some percentage of credit for the effort you already put in recruiting the guy.

After re-reading what I wrote, I wasn't very clear in my question and now see it can be taken two ways - about ineligibles that go JUCO and also about ineligibles that aren't offered a scholarship.   It was meant to be about the ineligibles that are NOT given a scholarship.

The player that went JUCO is on my recruiting list for next season, but the guy I wanted to try to sign I can't find.  Even after the 11:59pm deadline, he was still on my list as unsigned.  However, when the new recruits showed up on the rosters after the daily rollover, he disappeared.

I don't think every unsigned player after recruiting actually moves to JUCO for the following season.  Guys who were actually offered a scholarship and specifically don't report go JUCO ... and TBH I don't know if that is the only source of JUCO players.  I would think not, so all the JUCOs that happened because they didn't report is one group of JUCOs and others are magically generated to meet a design goal.

I think there's bonus late recruiting for sims who have too many walk-ons.  Impossible to track where the players go that get recruited that way.  Seems silly for those teams to recruit ineligibles, though, since that isn't any help for their rotation woes.

Thanks guys, esp drsnell!  I did finally find him on a Sim AI team, despite wanting to sign with me until I messed up and also being considered by another human-owned team thru the last cycle.

I wasn't sure how to even find him since there is no player name search, so I just used the Player Rating rankings and looked for any Fr. PF in any conferences til I came across his name.

Very good way to find him -- not "impossible" of course!
