So I drafted 1889 Walt Wilmot to play OF and noticed on his fielding stats that he is listed as having 22 putouts and 232 assists.  Obviously these two stats were entered incorrectly, probably being switched by mistake.  Will this have an effect on how Wilmot performs defensively?

It shouldn't.  Assists mean nothing, and having so few putouts doesn't seem to have affected his RRF, so he should field as advertised.
