Rescinding scholly Topic

Remind me -- what are the consequences of rescinding a scholly and how long do they last?

If it's a player you signed you get a reputation hit, usually not huge.  If you're A+ now, might go to A-.  If you rescind for multiple guys, supposedly others might leave as well, but I've never seen that.

I've rescinded before, for a guy that I signed and went to A- for a season, possibly two.

Less/no impact if it's a guy signed by the SIM

So, hypothetically, you could take over a team, cut 9 SIM-recruited players, and there would probably be no impact?

On my rebuilds, I sometimes see 1/3 of a letter grade drop in reputation when I cut the 2nd sim signed player and usually see that rep drop when I cut the 3rd player signed by simmy.

There's always a very, very, very small chance another player on your team will get upset when you cut someone and randomly decide to transfer.

What difference in recruiting will there be with an A- as opposed to an A+ ?

I don't think there'd be much difference in recruiting, but it would make a difference if you were applying for jobs in the next few seasons after taking that hit.   There is a minor risk of another schollie athlete leaving, but I think guyo's right, not a significant risk unless you already have a poor reputation (i.e. prior rescission, broken promises, etc.).

In answer to darnoc's question, I imagine there'd be some impact to cutting 9 sim-signed recruits, but it wouldn't matter unless you made the additional crazy choice of destroying that team to rebuild and then applying for another job the following season.
