is it the slowest website ever?

i am having a helluva time

three or four names in the box and it binds up on me by the fifth

over here its like walking in mud

if its just me please let me know cause i just moved from DSL to cable

It crashes often for me, even on a fast connection.

its not you i had cable 8 months ago and dsl now and i have the same slow problems now as then

I had a helluva time sorting California(2000 players), but that is about the only trouble I have had(cable)

I gather this is for the Geography league I started. It is slow but I would not use it for individual player research at all. 

I would go the state you want to draft from. See the list of batters and then under that the list of pitchers. I would then, once the page is complete (it takes a few seconds to get all the way to the right hand side margin) click on one of the stats at the top of the list to put them in order of that: HRs, BA, AB, OBP or for pitchers W or ERA. 

This gives you a very rough idea of who were the best players from that state or country. The HOFers have that designation next to their names on the list anyway. 

But all the individual player research I would do on the WIS Draft Center, not at baseball-reference.com/bio. 

I just did this for California in the time it took me to write the above and I have ordered all California players by career HRs for example. 

Then I clicked on "To" for years and got them order by last season. It only took a few seconds using Chrome. But I would not click on individual player stats there, also because their real rookie season may not coincide with their first season appearance in WIS database which is all that concerns us. 

MLB.com search works pretty well

Agreed, bagwearer! Baseball reference and facebook are slow and freeze up my computer. worst sites by far for me.
