Is there something in the program that blocks particular jobs? I'm not looking to leave, but whe browsing job openings, there was a school that is open that was not on my list.

Maybe someone who doesn't have an active team in that world reserved that team.  I know I've reserved a particular team during the middle of a season, so I'm sure that team didn't show up as an available job, even though it was still technically a SIM.
