Ppg in recruiting Topic

Is there any correlation between the PPG average a recruit has coming in to his potential to have success in scoring for your team or are the core numbers the only thing that matters? I feel better recruiting guys that averaged 25-40 points a game coming in rather than the typical low incoming freshman which is 8 points.

However quite a few recruits that have 7 or 8 high potentials average the very low. So I guess the question is, should points per game be ignored in recruiting?

I think they only use their current offensive ability to determine their PPG. I am pretty sure that their PPG is merely window dressing and has nothing to do with potential.
