For the first time ever above D3, I signed an Ineligible player who actually came to campus to honor the signing.  Two thirds through the season, and practice minutes in all of his core values that may rise, he still has ZERO growth in all aspects of his profile.  Will he have a larger off season bump, or is zero year one growth always the result of these signings?

Put all the minutes into study hall.  An ineligible at D1 or D2 is barred from participating in practice.  There will be no growth, but you can improve his GPA so he's not such a risk to be academically disqualified in subsequent seasons (although it looks like he's got a good GPA anyhow).   I would guess that there is no difference in how the game computes offseason changes from an eligible player.

ya that is the downfall of an ineligible, for D2 he gets 4 seasons of eligibility so he is guranteed a 5yr/sr but he makes no progress his first season as he will only be studying. Its like a redshirt that doesn't practice.

Although, as rogelio touched on, he will get offseason improvements between his ineligible season and his first eligible season.
