A word to the wise: you can't, of course, sign seven players in one class.  But that doesn't mean that you can't be considered by a player in that class, even after you've signed six.

I just got burned on this.  Basically, I left myself open to poaching 'cause the recruit was considering my school AND a school that was full in that class slot - I thought once they filled their six, they'd clear off the considering list and sign for me.  Instead, they stayed on the list and the player didn't sign, leaving an opening for a stronger school than mine to come in and take him.

Other mistakes that I've made:

1)  Continuing to recruit after I'd filled my roster....it seems that I can't count to four

2)  I had a player considering only me but refusing to sign. I kept spending and spending before I realized that I'd never offered him a scholarship

A couple stupid things I have done in season lately. First, I played my opening game in Knight World with Pacific Lutheran's defense set as MTM when our normal defense is FCP. Was fortunate to win the game anyways, but gave up a bunch more points than I was expecting. I have no idea how or why that setting got changed, just glad I caught it before too much damage was done. My second genius move was with my Anderson team in Allen World. I was adjusting my lineup and left one of my best players completely off the depth chart. He got a DNP-DTCBD (Did Not Play-Due To Coach Being Dumb). HD should have an anti-senile setting for those of us over 50.

Yeah number 2 happened to me last season. It's amazing how things like this never happened to me the first couple seasons I played but now I'll make some stupid mistake like leaving a player off the depth chart for exhibitions or something.

'I've done number two before on two guys at the same time. Probably spent $1500 more than I needed to.

'I've done number two before on two guys at the same time. Probably spent $1500 more than I needed to.
That's a lot of money spent just for that. Now i know why they refused to sign.
