DII recruiting/battling vs DI Sim Topic

Currently recruiting and have a question.

Situation:
I, a B+ prestige DII team, am interested in a player 10 miles from my campus that is on my DI list and currently "a high priority" for a D- prestige DI sim.

I received the backup e-mail and am wondering if it is possible and/or how much money it would take to beat out the sim and earn the recruit. I pull guys down all the time but have never attempted to pull a guy down and go after a pre-existing DI sim.

Also, is it likely the recruit drops to me later, removing the cost of pulling him down and giving me a better shot? I have landed recruits in the past simply because another DII school spent money early pulling him down while I waited for him to drop, thereby saving some money on SVs. Just wondering if that is a strategy that could be in play here.

I have nearly my entire budget left so am thinking this could be an option.

Would appreciate it if anyone has any experience with this situation. If not, oh well I'll live.

Thanks

He will not drop to you because of the D1 SIM. Since he's tight, it will probably cost you from 12 SV to 20 SV to Pull him down, then you will have a heavy battle to knock the SIM off. It will be very expensive. If there's another option (player) take it.

is the player ranked? It will likely cost 30 to 35 SVs (maybe more) to pull him down, then about 20k worth of HVs to take the lead on the sim.

I personally would give up. It could take a whole lot to win, maybe more than you have.

Yeah I gave up...no big deal, thanks all
