So around this time in my world (just before and during conference tourney time) I like to start to get together my recruiting list. Is this a bad idea because some of the guys could go from D3 to D2 or vice versa depending on what your prestige is going to do when the world rolls over?

I actually like doing it at that time, especially if I think my prestige is likely to drop in the off-season. I'll watch list guys that are on my list so that if I see them bumped up to the next-higher division after the rollover that they're guys who probably won't require a lot of work on my part to pull down or who might be close enough to the boundary line that a simple phone call might reveal that they're immediately recruitable even though they show as a higher division.
