A recruiting 1st for me Topic

Had a recruit "reject my phone call".  Then, a few minutes later, I received a "drop down" message that he was more concerned about the prestige of the program and wants to talk about playing at my program now.
I'd always thought that a rejected phone call was a definite no.
If so, it doesn't follow that he'd then drop down to me.

i think we've seen phone calls actually not be the definitive source they are supposed to be on multiple occasions since the new engine rewrite :( i think its just glitches in the game, that effectively phone calls and divisional searches still mean what they used to mean 99% of the time, but sometimes they don't. maybe someone has figured out some rhyme or reason to this mess and is able to recruit the "unrecruitable" players consistently, that would be a pretty massive advantage. definitely one of the other phone calls not being correct instances was with this same issue, except instead of a rejected call, it was a NO call. i don't play outside high d1 anymore so none of this is an issue for me but it is interesting to hear about all the little quirks that never were an issue...

are they new or were they always there but so rare that they were not noticed except over a long period of onservation?

I, too, have had this happen to me previously...floored me when it happened, but I just figured the kid had taken a moment to reassess his life and realized we had the hotter cheerleaders.

Well, he's gone back to being unrecuitable.  I've sent a ticket to CS to investigate
