Redshirting a 5 star recruit Topic

So I just redshirted a 5 star recruit and he took it with no WE drop.

I'm sure he'll go EE before he finishes his senior year, but I was wondering if there is any drawback to this.  For example, could he declare for the draft before he plays a single game with me?

I think the danger would be if he will graduate by his 3rd year, you'll only have him for his last 2 years instead of 3. But, if he would not play much anyway, it is not a bad idea.
