2 to guys who can score, 1 for guys who might be able to score, and 0 for guys who suck
I mentioned on the "Cursed" thread that i would think creating higher distro ratios (using up all 100 distro points) would lead to more shots by your primary scorers. In Crum, a conference mate of mine (ppk of LeMoyne vs St Rose in the CT 2 days ago) used 60 and 20 or something for his scorers, and they took a ton of shots.
I'm haven't played too many seasons yet (though I've played 18 months in Earth years), and I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything, including the distro strategy.
It is a ratio of all players in the game at a given time. So if you had the following distros, they would be exactly the same:
2 = 2/7 = = 28.6%
2 = 2/7 = 28.6%
1 = 1/7 = 14.4%
1 = 1/7 = 14.4%
1 = 1/7 = 14.4%
20 = 20/70 = 28.6%
20 = 20/70 = 28.6%
10 = 10/70 = 14.4%
10 = 10/70 = 14.4%
10 = 10/70 = 14.4%
Now that is the DESIGNED distro when those guys are in the game. However the ACTUAL distro will depend on a bunch of factors.
If one of the guys is double teamed, his distro goes down.
If the defensive team plays 3/2 the Guards (and guys shooting 3's) distro will go down.
If someone can not get open (his defender greatly outclasses him), his shots do not happen, so his distro goes down ... or they run the play but he is NOT available and a different shot happens. If someone else on the team is significantly better than his defender, he may get some of those shots where the good defender forced a pass instead of a shot per sentence one of this paragraph .. OR .. it may be a turnover if the guy who could not shot also sucks at passing.
Offensive Rebounds do not count.
Fast break points do not count.
