This is some crazy turnabout... Topic

I have a team that went 49-22 over a 71-game stretch, only to be followed immediately by a 4-20 stretch...

Make that a 4-24 stretch. I haven't seen anything like this with one of my teams since I started playing in 2002...

Then we finished on a 15-6 streak. I have whiplash.

See the SF Giants of 2014.  You still have a chance.

I had a team start the season 18-0 and fail to make the playoffs.  (It wasn't a tough division.  The team ended winning something like 83 games)

I've run across this before, too, although not to this degree. I had a team start 46-20, and end on a 20-6 run. In between we went 30-40 and finished third in a tough division.

I'm in a theme league where you take a certain year from a franchise's history - twist it & try to improve on it(the most "improved" team's owner gets a better draft spot for selecting the next season's squad)..... I chose a 64-98 2014 D'Backs team.

We start out 64-54....cruising to a top draft pick....matching my 162 win total by game 118...everything from here on out is gravy, right? Couldn't possibly lose 44 in a row, right?? (I even make a joke in the forum.....damn forum jinx)

Well, we didn't lose 44 in a row - but we tried.

We posted an L14

forget the fact that we went from a 1st place tie, to a double-digit deficit in a 16-team league

I never talk about hot streaks or brag about my team in the league forum. I know, intellectually that a "forum jinx" is illogical, but....

I didn't notice any 4-24 streaks!

A guy on my league forum just said the sim tanks teams...I'm guessing there's no way to convince him otherwise.
