I last cut a player two full seasons ago. I cut another a season before that and still my rep is an a-. It cost me for a couple of jobs I applied for. This seems like I should be back to full reputation. Anyone else have or experience this issue? Do I have a legit gripe?

I think the rep hits start compounding over seasons.  My buddy habitually cuts guys and his rep was as low as C- at D3, but that was 3 seasons ago and it still hasn't improved despite not cutting guys for 2 or 3 straight seasons.  He hasn't been able to apply for any D2 job for 2 seasons now.  

I've never cut a player while my reputation was already taking a hit from an earlier cut, but generally you'll lose two signs (From A+ to A-) for one cut...and then if you had cut a player the season before, using the same formula, would take that A- back to a B (assuming no additional effect for the compounding of the cuts). You gain back roughly one grade level for each season you don't cut someone. So assuming you were at a B two seasons ago after the cut, an A- is exactly where you should be after 2 seasons and I don't see anything wrong here. 

I think if you take over a team and cut a half dozen scrubs it shoudn't affect your reputation at all. Its not your fault the sim recruits ****** players...

I was just wondering if it mattered if you cut SIM recruited players or are you cutting guys you recruited and possibly promised things like playing time and/or starts to.  I can't recall ever getting a drop in rep when cutting SIM recruited players, but I guess I've never really paid attention.

I know you don't take a hit for that. Hell at one time you could cut walk ons and they would replace it with a new walk on

Remind me: is there any recruiting effect of rep and loyalty, or are they only factors in job apps?

If you cut enough sim recruited players your rep will drop.  I've dropped to A after cutting 2 simmy recruited players and with my current Vols team I dropped to A- after cutting 4 sim guys in year 1.
