We've noticed some issues with SLB Live and Java 8.

Please try using a different version of Java. The most recent version of Java 7 is currently working in 32-bit browsers and it also being kept up to date.

You may need to remove the current version and then install Java 7.

How about updating your LIVE play ??
I would think this issue is a total embarrassment to anyone at What if Sports.

basically, anyone who isn't playing on a Commodore 64 can't get into live rooms anymore without installing an old version of JAVA?
pathetic!

will you ever fix this issue?
do you care?

this is gonna be the end of LIVE if not fixed soon. already causing a few to give up teams and new people won't go to the trouble of reverting to the old version just to try something new

I'm just now coming back to try live again, and I can answer your questions - No, they won't ever fix their issue. No, they don't care. They didn't care a decade ago when half this site was live players, so there's no way they care now.

Last time anyone cared was when Tarek still owned the site.

Sorry to hear of all these problems with the Java Web browser in PC's ... My Mac uses Safari ... Is there other alternative browsers for PC's- Internet Explorer? Firefox? Netscape? AOL Explorer? Firefox? Mozilla? ... I believe that all of these systems got over 100M internet users ...

I use google chrome with older version of Java. I found alot of players on this site have to use newer version for other stuff such as work, etc.. and cant have both versions, others have been using old laptops

yeah. ...my solution--the archaic backup terminal with my Wi-fi.  It's so old, I think of it as a "terminal,". ...the comment about a Commodore 64 is just about right.  This is a ten or more year old computer whose security I can afford to leave lax. ...If I had my druthers, I've always wanted WIS to have a live basketball interface too. ...That'd be even better.  I don't know if S-O-M's site handles it--I don't think so.  That was always a bit off, and linked to sportingnews.com and whatnot--not ready for prime time.
Naturally, this form of fantasy sports is not what any layman expects to find on the net...many's the time I've been a little flummoxed trying to explain what this site does.  Their own promotional copy says, "highly educated males,". ...NERDS!!... ...anyhow, what's the skinny on Live 2.0?. ...I'm only asking because it seems to be strictly in the rumor mill stages for the time being. ...?

No they don't care because only like 1 percent of the WIS Customers play Live on a regular basis.

There was once a Live version of football here. It lasted maybe 3 months. I played vs. "Porky" and it was enjoyable.

Porky? As in the movie or the "That's all folks!" cartoon character? ...
