Triple Doubles? Topic

....anyone ever actually have one (particularly in a real game)?

With a very large asterisk I just had my first...but it was an exhibition game between a D2 and a D3, but just got me thinking about whether anyone has had it happen in a real game and whether it's as rare as I suspect it is in regular/post season play.

I had a points-rebounds-blocks triple-double, but that was years and years and years ago.

I think the SIM is set up to minimize the chances of having a single player having many steals or blocks. It seems if you have a player get 3 or so in a half, the chances of getting more are very low.

Assists are lower than they should be as well, I think. You can have a PG with like 60+ in REB and he won't get enough rebounds in this game for a triple double. You also won't have any non PG get 10 assists regardless of their BH/PA ratings. Or if you do, it's a rarity.

I asked this a while ago here is the response I got.

I had one with PTS/REB/TO but I don't think that counts.

I've had a guard get one with points, rebounds, assists.  Weirder thing was I'm pretty sure his rebounding was a single-digit rating.

I came pretty close not too long ago.  I'll see if I still have the boxscore.

I think I did get one on a team once from a shooting guard. Actually, it was a converted power forward playing shooting guard because I had that much in the way of injury issues ... It was a season to forget, over all.
