Question about D2 Transfer Recruit Topic

I am looking at a transfer recruit for my D2 school (he was at a D2 school last season as well).  He was an academic non-qualifier last year, but his recruit page indicates that he has three years of eligibility remaining.  Does he have 3 or 4 years of eligibility left?
