Value of cycles (recruiting) Topic

Does anybody know if the first cycles of recruiting are Worth more than the ones close to signing period? I am wondering if there is any advantage on getting to a player faster.

effort carries the same value whenever it is applied. There is considering credit however that no one fully seems to understand...

Can you explain the considering credit stuff? I am lost. When is this applied?

No one knows for sure when it's applied, but the consensus is sometime between 24-48 hours after the onset of recruiting.  As far as how much considering credit is worth, I've seen anything from 5% to 15% thrown out on the forums.

seemingly the "best" old thread with any info about considering credit based on a very basic search:

Consideration credit is applied starting 24 hours after recruiting, so if you are the only player on a recruit at that point (i.e. -- the only one the player is "considering"), a team of equal prestige/distance would need to exceed your effort (not your dollar expenditure!!) to take the lead. The longer you are on the recruit, the greater this edge becomes (although it never really gets to be al. that much as the game is rife with stories of people being blown off recruits on the signing cycle).

Of course, nothing is ever truly "equal" so you can never really be certain how much of an edge the credit gets you. For me, I view it as a non-entity and don't give it a second though, regardless of whether I'm the one on the recruit or if I'm the one coming in late. I actually wouldn't mind seeing this element get ramped up slightly.

As for the value of being on a recruit early, the biggest benefit isn't tangible but perceptual. If you're on a player, it sends a message to other human players that you were at least serious enough to invest some money in the player, which may be enough to dissuade others from making a play for that recruit when another option is available. In a situation where someone is choosing between Player A and Player B (roughly similar players), if one of them is already being considered by a human team, most folks will choose to go after the one that is not. That's the advantage of being on a player first.
