On one of my teams where I am in the IFA market, I have transferred a large sum of money from payroll to the prospect budget. In the course of this transfer, my allowed budget for next season is now 80% of my reduced payroll number and I am in violation of next year's payroll. This restricts me from performing any trades unless I can trade away enough salary from next season's budget, even if the player I am trying to trade for is only on a 1 year deal.  I cannot imagine this is working as intended.  There are two possible options I foresee for this:

• Continue to calculate future season's payroll allowed on the original payroll amount.  OR
• Do not allow a transfer that will cause future payroll violations.

Well, this is a third.   Don't make transfers if you know it will cause future payroll violations.     After all, you're responsible for knowing your payroll.


That said, I agree that it probably isn't working as intended.   I've put myself in the same hole with small transfers. 

I find the next year salary restriction too strict. I would love to see them do away with that one and keep the year 3,4,5 ones in place.
