Ex MLB Players or Celebs Playing Sim? Topic

I'm curious if any ex MLB players are playing SIm? Or perhaps any celebs? Factual or fictitious responses are welcome. :-)

If I recall correctly, Bill Simmons (now of Grantland/ESPN.com) was a fairly avid player 8+ years ago. I think he went by the name Bosox Bill and posted quite a bit. Haven't seen him around for year. I think he might have even written up a "shout out" regarding WIS in the first half of the last decade. Can any other old timers elaborate?

Yes, Simmons played for a while and was still active when I joined the site in 2006, but not for much longer after that.  He was sptsguy33.  I believe he did a user interview at one point....yes:

Curt Shilling is an enthusiast for OOTP Baseball and so is one of the VPs of the Red Sox, can conjure up his name right now.

I'm pretty sure Bosox_Bill worked in software development. At least I recall it being a similar field to the one I'm in.

Anybody else remember the "Big Kahuna" who graced this website some years back? He was a celebrity in his own mind. I used to love baiting him. Recall the Big Kahuna once posted a link to You tube which brought up a clip from an old Miami Vice episode. He pointed out the time marker on the video and told us that he was the shadowy person walking through the background of some bar scene. You had to watch it two or three times to figure it out and even then it was so non-descriptive you could only take his word it was him. Guess it was his 15 seconds of fame? Nevertheless, he was certainly proud of this "achievement".

He also posted a photo of himself crouched in front of his 1959 pink Caddy pointing to the Big Kahuna personalized plates he affixed.

One of the clown princes of WIS.

Kahuna was all right, but I'll take Caracarn for pure psychotic fun any day ...
