So I was thinking that 20 wins should get you an auto-bid to the PIT...what do you think?  Vote and post your thoughts below...this should be interesting.  Thanks and take care.

Trevor

Do you think all teams with 20+ wins should get an auto-bid to at least the PIT?

If you schedule SO POORLY that 20 wins don't get you a low enough ranking, then you don't deserve the PIT anyway.

i think if you have 20 wins and aren't PIT eligible then you did something seriously wrong, most likely beat up on a bunch of sims. i think its probably rare to have 20 wins and such a bad schedule that you don't make the PIT, but if that's the case, then i'm definitely not for shooing someone in. you can already make it pretty far on total fluff schedules, i don't think adding to that makes any sense, i'd be looking for the reverse if anything.

Last season was my first and I went 20-10 with a 95 RPI 135 SOS and didn't make the PIT

They shouldn't be in the PIT.

But, I do believe that regular season champions should get automatic bids to the PIT if they don't make the NT...just like in RL.  .  In most cases, they'd qualify anyway for the PIT but, occasionally, they don't.
The only exception I'd make is for Sim-coached teams.  There are a few all-Sim conferences. I'd hate to see a Sim team make the PIT over a worthy human coach

my problem with that suggestion is that HD defines at least 2 and sometimes more conference champions per seasons. i'd pretty much be fine with it otherwise, i would like to see something like a 3 human minimum for a conf to get an auto bid, however.

In my opinion, if you can lower the number of SIM teams in the PIT, all ideas are welcomed. But I still am not in favour of a 20 wins season getting into the PIT automatically. You have to deserve it. Schedule properly.

You're currently at number 60 on the Projection Report with that Marywood team.  That is an absolute LOCK to make the PIT if you don't win your CT.

Right on appreciate the info. Thought I was doomed by my SOS.

What if there are 33 teams that don't make the NT that have won 20? What then?

lol, there are those that see problems and then there are those that see/find solutions.

If you beat 20 teams with an RPI of 365-384, but ended up losing to RPI 358-364, would you still put that team in the PIT?

There are also those who post nonsensical questions about a post season tournament that no team should have a desire to be in and hope to qualify for. If you don't play in the NT then who cares. But given your success level, I see why you are concerned about this.
