I am at West Virginia in the Big East and will have 6 SR's next season, so expectations are high. I will only be replacing 1 starter who will need to play SG or SF. I run a fastbreak offense (man defense) and play my SF as just another guard. Below is who I know will be starting:
PG -
Marty Brett
SF -
Michael Record
PF -
William Stover or
Daryl Dasilva
C -
Thomas Seegar
The guy I have been thinking about starting at SG is
Darrell Patrick. Now his obvious weakness is ATH and DEF, but he put up some good numbers off the bench this season. My other option is starting SOPH
Richard Taylor at PG and moving Brett to SG or SF. He has a lot of room to grow still, and will be much better with another season of improvement. A mark against Taylor is his FT shooting, which I have found to be hugely important in the FB offense. Which lineup do you guys think would be best? I'm leaving towards starting Patrick at SG, then maybe re-evaluating halfway through the year after more development from Taylor.
Thanks for any help or feedback!
