$60 Million: First 15 / Last 15
Your entire roster must consist of players from 1885-1899 and 2001-2015. (For purposes of discussion, I’ll call the latter era the 2000’s even though the year 2000 is NOT included).  You must spend at least $25M on players from the 1800’s and at least $25M on players from the 2000’s. Use a ballpark from either of the two eras.

$80 Million:  Used to Play For
Pick one franchise.  Every player on your roster must have played for your franchise at one time in his career - but there's a catch.  You must use a season in which he does NOT play for your selected franchise.  Players who played for only one franchise (i.e., Chipper Jones) are not eligible for this league.  Use seasons 1920-2015 only.  If a player played for your selected franchise before 1920, you can still roster a 1920+ season as long as he plays for a different franchise.  The season your player played for the selected franchise does not have to be sim eligible… use baseball-reference as a guide.  No $300K exception.  Use a ballpark your franchise called home at some point between 1920-2015.

Q/A for $80M Theme:

Q: In the 80M theme, the title says "used" to play for, but it sounds like you can use players who are going to play for the team too. Is that right?
A: Yes, you can use a season either before or after the season he played for your selected franchise.   You can also use the same season, if he played for two+ teams in the same year (and you can use the combined version, as long as you use the other franchise's version)

Q:  What about split seasons?  For instance, what if Joe Smith played one year but it was a split season between the Red Sox and Cubs.  If I'm building a "used to play for Cubs" team, can I use the Red Sox version?

A: Yes, as long as the player played at least 1 game with your selected franchise, you can use any non-selected-franchise version of that player, even if it's the same year.

$90 Million:  Twist Twelve + Teammates
Pick any single-season team.  You must roster one player from your selected team (i.e., no twist).  You must twist exactly 12 players from that team (i.e., must use a season other than your selected team's season for those 12 players).  Each of your twisted players must bring along exactly one teammate from the team you've twisted that player to.  You cannot use the same season/team combination for any two twisted players.  Use the ballpark your selected team played in during the season you selected.  No $300K exceptions.

$100M, Silver Anniversary Franchise Soup Draft
Using the 25-year range of 1962-1986, everybody drafts their roster from this period.  You must have one player per season.  You cannot roster more than one player per franchise.  Players are exclusive (i.e., only one Seaver can be drafted).  You do not have to announce which version of the player you are using.  However, you must roster a legal team.  Failure to draft a legal team will result in a penalty* factored into the league standings, which could affect your playoff chances.  Parks are exclusive and will be selected during the draft.  The draft will be run in the forums, and will be a snake draft (order determined randomly).  Note that MLB had only 20 teams from 1962-1968 and 24 teams from 1969-1976.  You will need at least one SEA or TOR player from the years 1977-1986.

*If you cannot field a legal team based on the players you drafted, then you will need to drop a player to fix the mistake.  There will be a 5-win penalty per player replaced.  This will be factored into the league standings and could affect your playoff chances.

A: During the player draft.  And yes, only parks in use between 62-86 can be used.

$110M, Six Drafts w/DH
The 24 owners will be placed into six groups of four, based on the Final Standings from the WIS Championship Round 1. In other words, the owners ranked 1-4 will be in group A, the owners ranked 5-8 will be in group B, all the way thru the owners ranked 21-24 (group F). These groupings will also be the division alignments (i.e., group A in the NL East, group F in the AL West). Starting with Group F, and working backwards to Group A, the highest ranked owner in each group will select a franchise (i.e., a franchise not already selected by a previous group). So each group will have their own unique franchise. The four people in each group will then draft their entire 25-man roster from their selected franchise. There will be six drafts going on simultaneously. The serpentine draft order will be determined randomly. Once a player is taken, all versions of that player are off the board for the rest of that franchise group. You do not have to announce which season you are using. Seasons 1901-2015 only. Special Deadball pitching rule: A maximum of $20 million in cumulative team salary may come from 1901-1919 pitchers.

Q/A for $110M Theme:

Q: What round do stadiums get drafted?
A: They don't.  All four owners in a division can use any ballpark their franchise called home.  (I forgot to remove that from the rules.  Now fixed)

Yes, you can twist players who aren't sim eligible.

Yes, it doesn't matter if the player played for your selected franchise before or after the season you decided to use.
