I am wondering if there is any consequence for keeping players off the DL for minor injuries?   When I get a minor injury, I immed. check ratings to see if anything dropped.   If nothing dropped and the player needs 1-10 days to heal... I just put them on "rest" instead of the DL.   Is that a wise strategy ?

My closer with 43 saves on the year just got blown up during a playoff appearance after one of these said "rests".   It makes me wonder ... Any opinions?

I've never seen a negitive impact by not putting a player on the DL if they don't take a ratings hit.

The other side of that coin is, if you have $20 mill medical, have a guy go down for 2-5 days with an arm injury and put him on the 60 day DL he will probably get a boost in important ratings. But there are a lot of factors to take into that decision.
