Hi Folks,

I am a new player so this is most likely a user error but I can't figure it out.  I am attempting to sign a minor league free agent.  When I put in the dollar amount the player asks for in the Season 1 box and click submit I get the following message

"Error: A minor league contract will default to 1 year for the player's minimum required salary. No bonuses are acceptable."

The only way that I can figure out how to offer a contract is leave everything blank and click submit which seems to offer the player the 1 year and dollar amount they are asking for by default, but then they send me a message stating

"You’ve got a great city and franchise, but we’re getting better offers from other franchises. If you’re serious about this you’ll up you offer."

If I can't enter a dollar amount myself and bonuses aren't allowed, how do I increase the offer?

You can offer minor league with ST invite or a big league deal.

The particular player in question is requesting a ST invite which was part of the original deal.  Does that mean they sometimes ask for 1 thing but actually demand more? 

That means someone else has either offered a BL deal or he prefers their team to yours.
