Lots of ATH, absolutely no LP: scorer? Topic

Let's say you had a D2 forward with 95 ATH, 50 SPD... and zero LP. (Assume good-but-not-elite PER and BH.) Can that guy score reasonably efficiently? Will he get to the line at a high rate?

Depends on who is covering him. He will do okay against average (60ish ath/speed/de) defenders but those guys struggle agaisnt solid defenders.

He will be much more efficient at the 3 than the 4 as well.

I think it also depends on the offense, I think the triangle is the hardest to score on just ath alone.  Whereas fb is the easiest.

Joe, I'm curious why you say he'd be more efficient at the 3 than the 4?

Two reasons....1. In man (and press) he'll be covered by the other teams SF which generally have a lower BLK rating which is used against the ATH/LP scoring equation, ....2. I haven't had a whole lot of success using the spd/per type scores at the 4, I have seen some but it was with pretty high PER scores....I just can't get my PF and C's to take enough shots with guys like that.....does that make sense?

I've seen sort of the same thing for #2. I'd honestly never planned for #1 - the relationship between ATH / LP vs opponent's BLK. I'll have to look at that closer.

I noticed in D3 when my 80/80 ATH/DEF defender with like a 10 Block was getting owned when I played him at the 4.....
