high, high potential? Topic

I don't know, maybe I'm just dense or something, but when someone says a player has high, high potential, what exactly is meant by that?I've only ever seen recruits with high, average, or low potential. Am I missing something here?

Within the "high" potential (blue numbers), there is what we call "high-low" and "high-high."  A high-low guy will improve usually 20-25 points. But a high-high guy can improve anywhere from 30-60 points.  On my Bridgewater State team, my PG was high-high in perimeter. He was 26 PER when I recruited him and is now 86 in PER midway through his junior year.

In order to tell if a guy is "high-low" or "high-high," you have to get scouting reports.  Here is a link to a google doc that shows what messages mean H-L and which ones mean H-H: http://tinyurl.com/2eljoyu

I don't think there is an actual cap on how many points he'll grow if he's high-high. He can grow more than 60 points though. I think you'll typically find these super high growths in areas like LP and PER.

Thanks guys, these links you've provided, are exactly what I was looking for. Now i should be able to tell the difference between high-low, and high-high prospects.

I think with high-high, you can have unlimited growth only in LP and PER. But all other high-high categories usually cap at around 40 or so.

Not sure about all of the attributes but DEF can be much higher than 40 pts. I got a guy right now who has grown about 40 pts and is still blue.

Check Possumfiend's post in this thread: https://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?TopicID=483423&Page=1

His table there will show you the likelihood of stat maximum improvement. I'd vote that the post of the year if they had that award.
