The day before our R5 draft I put a waiver claim in a player.    The status is pending.   Meanwhile, he is on the R5 draft list.  Which takes priority.    I assume that if he goes undrafted in R5 he will be subject to the normal waiver process.    But what happens if he is drafted?   does the waiver process just vanish?    Or does the drafting teams newly aquired R5 player just vanish?

R5 processes first then WW.   If drafted, WW is no longer applicable.

this reminds me of my first season... I traded for two minor league pitchers right before the r5 draft and didn't understand the protection process and/or just didn't realize one of them was exposed. he got drafted by a guy in my division, and was his closer for a really long time. ticked me off a little bit because I felt like it was a newbie mistake, but you live and learn.
