I have a player who is a stud hitter problem were to play him. He projects to 78 range and 95 glove. Current 75 range 75 glove and he is 23. His range is a little low for cf or 2b. So which would you rather have subpar range in?

2B.   I'd never play a sub 80 range in CF.

Is he a LH or RH thrower?

TY for the replies and he is Right handed.

It's SSS, but I have a 77 playing a fine CF so far with catchers playing right and left field.  It's only 6 games in, so plenty of time for that to hurt, but so far no big deal.  I am using defensive subs in CF and the CF moves to LF when the sub comes in, so that may diminish the potential for bad things to happen.

It takes me more than 6 games to decide on such matters.

That will be a lot of minus plays in the outfield.  Outs turning into hits.  Singles turning into doubles.

7 games in I am leading the league in fielding.  I have 3 + and 2 - plays.  SSS for sure and I have contingency plans set for a better defense if necessary.

Update?

If slash was talking about Jose Cortes then that experiment ended after 6 games. Omar Valentine has put up a .737 OPS but thats probably not enough to cover for his 11 negative plays in 42 games. All that said, slash's team still looks like a top 5 defensive team.
