Recruited 70 ath black potential has hit 90 ath for a 20 point gain.

I though black potential was 7-19 and blue started at 20?

7-20 anf 21+

I think the 19 perception comes/came from those times when the kid goes from blue to black without showing an increase but still technically had that potential

the conventional wisdom was 6-20 but really its 7-21 (don't mean to diss conventional wisdom there, the 6-20 came from me, others corrected me over time). you can easily prove this to yourself simply by looking at recruits during recruiting - you will never see an 80 blue rating - at best it can be black - if blue was +20, with a 100 cap, blue 80 would be possible. also, 94 can never be black, its always red, so +6 must be low territory still.

thanks, I've always used 7/20/28 as my guidelines a little of both! I'll probably still use 20 since its easier I just won't be shocked when it happens. I guess my amazing discovery was just a discovery of my smarts(or lack of)

Interesting. I always thought it was 15, so that is interesting. Does blue start at 21, and what does a "normal high" range from?

Low: 0-6
Average: 7-20
Low High: 21-28
High High: 29+

i use low high 21-27 and high high 28 plus. you can get a high high message on a 72 rated player.
