Is there a trick to knowing which blue ratings will only go up one or two points before turning black/red as opposed to the blues that actually increase substantially? I feel like I'm let down every year by a handful of blues only going up one or two before turning black.

scouting trips, The only way to know ahead of time is to do evals. Then look for these replies:

And adding to dac's response, low/high is 20-27 points of improvement and high/high is 28+. But there's no way to know if a low/high category is 20 or 27 points.

Save that chart to your documents, it comes in handy more than you think. Especially when you start taking chances on lower rated players
