Carnegie Melon In Crum Topic

Carnegie Melon has always had a human coach in the 80 seasons of Crum. However, with about 6 and a half hours left of signups, they are in danger of going Sim coached for the first time. We would love to see a human coach take it over.

The team is nothing special, but there are certainly some goes pieces there to ease the transition.

A coach taking over that team would be joining the consistent Number 1 conference in DIII crum. The east division coaches alone have combined for over 30 titles (most from jsajsa and stewdog). And we would all be happy to mentor any new coaches who come join us.

If anyone is interested other openings include;
Lycoming
Frostburg St.
Scranton
Wilkes

So come join me, jsajsa, stewdog, hughesjr, spike101 and domehead88, and the0nlyis!

We'd love to have you!

What he's trying to say is that Carnegie Mellon dropped from an A+ to a C prestige this season because the coach ghost shipped the team into a 5 man rotation this past year, but still has decent talent on the roster for a new coach coming in. The previous 3 seasons were E8, F4, and NC loss. Not sure how many programs have never had a sim coach but for now this is still one of them.

wow, when did they change it to make that drop possible? i seem to remember pretty clearly that was not possible when i was big into d2/d3. i think it was like, a+ could drop to b+ in one season, and that was it?

I wonder if that only applies for human coached teams? Maybe since the team went sim after the season that caused the extreme prestige drop? Not sure, but now that you mention it that is strange. Maybe a human should take it over and see if that bumps the prestige back up...

As long as we are recruiting some openings...

In Phelan, look at Wisconsin-Stout. A prestige, has had a human coach for last 70 seasons, several national titles, consistent NT team, good conference (#6 in conf RPI last year). Will have 5 scholarships open and decent recruiting cash (conf put 4 teams in NT last year). I just left it to go D2. Runs fastbreak/press.
