RIP "Collicky" Colin Frances, died in a car crash in the middle of the 1959 season.
EDIT: OH NO! The Orioles had a plane crash! Or else Colin, Paulie, and Hammer were drinking buddies. It was Colin's birthday, so they were celebrating got in a drunken car crash? Best thing to happen to careers of Brent Wojcik and Harry Salters.

Great read. I can only assume we all made up players. I had tons of them.

I forget which one, but one of the players appears to have died at Malmedy, which is an interesting historical twist as well...just looked it up...it was Bad Billy Hagerson.
