Scouting service question Topic

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before. If you do the scouting service for a state, do you get charged for recruits that are already fully scouted? Talking about HD 3.0 obviously.

That is an interesting and unusual question. I have always used the scouting service much earlier in the scouting process than that. I think getting a guy to Level 4 scouting any other way is inefficient.

It looks like yes you still get charged, I just tried fully scouting someone listed in the top 100 from South Carolina in Phelan and the number of available recruits on the scouting service did not decline for that state. If that's true across the board then your best bet is to buy the scouting service first then follow up with individual scouting to not duplicate your expenditures.

Yes.

I do the following

Step 1 - FSS
Step 2 - camps
*at this point, a top 100 player in a state you FSS'd who attends your personalized camp will be fully scouted.
Step 3 - run advanced searches on recruits based on level, starting with level 1; flag the interesting ones, and mass-scout up a level at a time, until I end up with the desired number in my target pool. (I flag as I go, and adjust as new info is available at each level).

I don't personally do the assistant scout thing. Important not to waste money manually scouting guys until after step 2 is complete.
