Where is coach's rep now? Does it hurt recruiting? Topic

You used to be able to see a coach's loyalty and reputation when you clicked on their profile (or my own), but I no longer see that. Am I just not seeing it? or has it been removed?

Scenario help please?....Team A wins a recruiting battle vs. Team B, and has obviously promised either minutes or starts. During the next season, Team B looks at Team A's roster and notices that said recruit is barely playing to where Work Ethic has dropped over 20 points. Conclusion: Coach of Team A obviously isn't following through on his promise of either starting or meeting a predetermined number of minutes.

Shouldn't there be some sort of reputation penalty vs. Coach A as recruiting continues into future seasons? It seems future recruits should be able to "hear about" a coach's reputation that is going down due to broken promises.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something here?

I'm assuming nothing has changed on the coach loyalty/reputation front in 3.0 since the focus was solely on recruiting.

Unfortunately as a result of the mobile redesign, you don't seem to be able to view another coach's loyalty/reputation any more. If they are breaking promises, I would assume it would impact their reputation the same way it would of under 2.0 but now you can't actually see that.

You can view your own loyalty/reputation but only on the Jobs page (which is only visible to you) so if anyone has recently broken promises under 3.0, maybe they can confirm that 3.0 still operates under the same rules 2.0 did.

"Recruiting Promises
Many players want to get on the court right away. Once you've built up a certain amount of recruiting credit for a recruit, you can promise a starting spot or minutes. These options are free and valuable, but must be honored if the recruit signs, or he will react negatively and possibly transfer."

"Q: What if I guarantee a recruit a starting spot, then I dont give it to him? Same with minutes, what if I dont give him his promised time? Are there any repercussions?
A: Yes, there could be. Players who are promised either a starting spot (and then are not started) or a certain amount of playing time (and don't receive it) will most likely lose Work Ethic and could end up quitting the team."

The top except is from recruiting guide. The second is from the FAQ's.

From this, there only seems to be a possibility of transfer or loss of work ethic, but no mention of how (if at all) it affects future recruits.
