After 5 games (2 exhibition) I noticed my team was heavily underperforming and they were playing Triangle/Man with D and F IQs. Can someone write code so the default O/D for a new job is the average of the highest IQs.

you can readily change the team offense and defense on the team game plan page

you should also when taking over a team review that page to be sure that you are okay with whatever adjustment choices are shown there.

must check that page whenever you take over a team. Should also check and update player game plan, depth chart and practice plan.

So you're saying you took over a new team.... but didn't bother to set the team game plan (or even check it) before you had already played five games?

No... you're kind of misunderstanding me. I'm a complete idiot for not double-checking the gameplan and that's all my fault, but what if this happens to a new user?

Then they weren't cut out to play HD anyway.

I think most new players are curious and poke around stuff like game plan pages as they try to figure out the game. Gotta hope they do.

A bunch of other stuff I would put ahead of this for the development team to work on - like this isnt on the top 100 if I made a list.

The bigger question here is did you pick the team up from Sim, or was it a human-owned team where the former coach left to a new job and you picked it up in the same jobs process.

If it was Sim-owned, then the game is functioning as intended. Sim teams default back to their original Off/Def, which is the one indicated by the email from the assistant coach when you take the job. Previously, they did as you indicated and ran whatever the Off/Def IQ's delivered the best average grade for, which typically meant they stayed in the setup of the previous human coach.

But I would think the switch back to defaults shouldn't happen until the start of a new season when it is known the program is back in Sim hands, not at the moment where the human coach leaves to move up a division or something and someone else can possibly come in to take over right away.
