Add Late Game Gameplan option? Topic

How come there is no option for in depth late game game planning. For example if a team is intentionally fouling, the opposing player should be able to target which player they want to try and get the ball too for free throws.
Or another example, when you need a bucket or a game winner at the end. Make an option to allow players to order which player they want to shoot it.

Last question. Why don't they have an option to choose which player guards which player when they're in. I understand they have depth charts. But why not just add an option for more control?

Just kidding. I've always wished there were more game planning options. Especially for late game.

I would assume the engine is smart enough to get your best FT shooters the ball in that scenario. Why do we need a checkbox to say "Get ball to my best FT shooters when they are intentionally fouling" ? Wouldn't that be a box that everyone would always check?

While I would love the option to implement cross-matchups with my M2M defense, I don't know that adding that option is a good idea. Seems to me like it would lead to even more teams running Man at the expense of Zone and Press.

What if you have 4 guys who are C+ free throw shooters. But one of them has been shooting say 10% better than the rest. Do you think the engine calculates the season statistics? My main point is I want more control in late game situations. Being able to pin point whose going to have the ball for majority of the time in late game situations allows me to do that.

I'd choose the one shooting lower, I mean odds are he'd have to regress towards the mean and shoot better, the guy shooting above would regress downward overtime.
