FTM Progressive League
This is a single season progressive league currently a week from finishing its 11th season.
We need owners to take over teams for the 86-87 season and hopefully beyond.
It is a well organized league with some great long term owners.
New owners can switch location and team name upon acquiring a new team as long as they stay geographically relevant to its division.

Update:

76'ers: fighting for a playoff spot, will finish somewhere in the 4-8 range in the east. Primed to make a jump next season and should be a strong contender for a long time. Perfect team to take over.

SuperSonics: 1st place in the west. The favorite to make the finals. If you are looking for a win now team, this is it!

Pacers: 4th in the East. 2 games out of 2nd. Will finish from 2-4. Strong combination of win now and future talent headlined by Dominique and Terry Porter.

Mavericks: Currently would have 5 lottery balls in the draft. This is a bit of a rebuilding project, but a good owner with a little patience could capitalize on some strong drafts coming up!

SuperSonics: Probably number 1 seed in the West with the 2nd best record in the whole league. If you are looking for a win now team, this is it! Plus, they will have two first round picks this season!

Pacers: In a three way tie for third place in the East, this is a playoff team on the rise. Good combination of win now and future talent centered around Dominique and Terry Porter.

Hawks: Can't believe this team is still available! Larry Nance, James Worthy, very good role players plus a high lottery pick? Plus a future pick from the current worst team in the league??? You aren't going to find a better team available in the classifieds.

Mavericks: The current owner has apparently left the site, meaning his playoff team is in free fall and is losing rapidly. Would currently have the 7th best lottery odds, despite being a good team. So you get to pick up a good team with good players and a good draft pick. Win/win!

I'll take the Hawks.

They have Nance and Bol, both of whom I use quite often in OLs. :) First progressive I've enrolled in since my return to the site. Glad to back in one with y'all. Thanks for the heads up on the opening, Ben.

Update:

SuperSonics: 1st seed in the West. Very good chance of making the finals. Moses is still good for 6 seasons, and this team is going to be near the top of the conference for that time period. If you are looking for a win now team, this is it! Plus, two first round picks this season!

Pacers: Dominique Wilkins plus Terry Porter gives this team a very good foundation to build with. Has the pieces to compete now, but also some huge trade assets if you are looking for a rebuild.

Mavericks: Probably a rebuild effort, but they have some good assets to trade. Some really nice drafts coming up!



Also, 4 teams have been unresponsive about returning for next season. Here is a quick synopsis of all four teams. If the current owner has not responded by Thursday afternoon, they will become available.

Spirits of St. Louis: MICHAEL JORDAN!!!! plus the best lottery odds in this draft. Gave up a future pick for Jordan, but will be in the playoffs by then.

Minnesota Wolves: Dale Ellis, Otis Thorpe, plus some other good pieces and the 3rd best lottery odds in this draft! Great rebuilding team about to make a jump. Gave up a future first for some good players, but the team should be in the playoffs by then so it won't matter much.

Miami Heat?: 4th or 5th best lottery odds plus some good older guys you could use as trade chips

Orlando Magic: Adrian Dantley and a bunch of players with a couple good seasons left. I would suggest selling current talent for future talent and rebuilding, but could also be a solid playoff competitor for a while if you want. No first rounder this season, but they have the 4th best record in the league so it doesn't matter much.

I'd take St Louis if by some miracle they become available. Not holding my breath though...
